Van Lang University (VLU) is one of Vietnam’s progressive private universities, celebrated for its creative spirit, interdisciplinary approach, and forward-thinking education model. In this branding project, we developed a distinctive Brand Key Visual and 3D Art Direction that reimagines the iconic Dong Son drum — a symbol of Vietnamese cultural heritage — through a modern, futuristic lens. The visual concept blends tradition with innovation, using intricate 3D forms and lighting to transform the bronze drum motif into a dynamic centerpiece of VLU’s identity. This fusion of history and creativity reflects the university’s mission to nurture a new generation of students who are both culturally grounded and globally minded.
